Ocean University of China
The fame of Ocean University of China is spread in the whole country. The university has two campus: a beautiful one in the old city, and a new one between Fushan mountain and the sea, near the new city center.
Academic Program
- A year from the 4th of September 2006 to mid-july 2007.
- A semester from the 4th of Septembre 2006 to mid-january 2007 or from March 2007 to mid-july 2007.
Prices
The application fee is 400 CNY. The tuition fee is 7000 CNY by semester (14000 CNY for a year). You must add about 300 CNY for the books.
The payement of the tuition fee is made the 30th, 31st of August, or the 1st September 2006. This is also the time you will pass the check of your Chinese proficiency, and when you buy the books.
Summer program
- 4 weeks, from the 17th of July 2006
Price
The application fee is 400 CNY. The tuition fee is 2600 CNY. You must add about for the books.
There number of levels depends on the number of students, but there is minimum 3 classes. Las year there was 10 classes. The afternoon and saturday, there is sometimes extra activities like excursion to Laoshan, Zongshan, at the beer festival, ... If you want to join that it's more.
Business Program
- A semester from the 4th of Septembre 2006 to mid-january 2007 or from March 2007 to mid-july 2007.
Since 1997, the Ocean University of China hosts the Chinese Business Program. It teaches the fundamental knowledge one must have about business in China. There is 7 main courses: chinese language (beginner or intermediate), chinese culture, bases of business in China, marketing management in China, Investments, Cases studies, Theory and practics of Tai-Chi-Chuan. There are between 16 and 20 hours every week, more the personnal work, excursions and class preparation.
The classes are given ont he old campus of Ocean University of China, in the center of the old town of Qingdao. However you can choose your dormitory in the old or new campus, as you wish.
Prices
Application fee is 50 USD. Tuition fee is 1400 USD for a semester. There is also 60 USD for the books and 100 USD for the excursions and visits.
Accomodations
There is 3 buildings on two campus, with single or double rooms equiped with heater, air-conditioning, tv, phone, bathroom, and furniture. The buildings have a common kitchen, a restaurant, washing machines, a sport room, internet, study rooms, ...

Meals
It's about 25 RMB by day if you eat at the student's cantine.
Apply
Fill in the application form and send it back with a picture id and a copy of the first page of your passport. You can scan it and send it to inscription@insina.com or fax it at +86-532-85953378.
Once the university will have received your application, you will be asked to pay the application fee. Then the university will send you the 'JW-202' document which will allow you to get a student visa at the chinese embassy in your country.
